Get ready to experience the flavor of pumpkin season! This recipe has been a family favorite for many years in our family. Being passed down from my mom’s friend Susie. Every time we make it, we think of their lengthy friendship. Unfortunately, once you make this pumpkin bread, it won’t last quite as long!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Bake for approximately 1-hour and 20 minutes.
Oven time may vary, or until a tooth pick comes out clean from the middle.
Mix all ingredients together until blended well, and pour into greased loaf pans:
2/3 cup Water
1 cup Oil
2 cups Pumpkin
3 cups Sugar
1 teaspoon Allspice
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Nutmeg
1-1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Baking Soda
3-1/2 cups Flour
1-1/2 cups Milk Chocolate Chips
(1/2 cup, sprinkled on top of batter before baking)
1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Place tinfoil over the top of loaf’s half way through baking to prevent them from getting to dark.
Cool for 10 minutes, then pour onto cooling racks.
Watch it disappear quickly!
